2004 Toyota VIOS G type 1.5 petrol

Summary:

The most reliable and economical car

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong with my Toyota. Since it was used as a taxi, the feel is different from if you are seated in a car you bought brand new.

General Comments:

The car is very quick, but very economical. I can hardly believe that the small car is very powerful in terms of speed, although it uses a very small amount of gas.

I don't need a comfortable car, since I am living in a busy capital city where I need a very reliable car. It has to be tough, considering the long hours of traffic jams that I have to endure almost everyday. But the car is still running well with reasonably cold air conditioning.

What I have to do is just check the oil and the water radiator once every three days. The car never let me down in the extremely hot days or in heavy rainy days. I also can easily park the car in a crowded parking lots.

I own a Toyota Vios G. I wonder if anyone can advise me as to what type of bodykit/car accessories I can add on to my existing car to make it look more beautiful/sporty, but at minimal costs? I can use after market accessories to cut costs.

Thank you.

2008 Toyota VIOS

Summary:

A transportation car, do not expect too much

Faults:

Paint scratches, minor, bumped a motorcycle.

Nothing else.

General Comments:

My main complaints are the stability and car aerodynamics. The engine is powerful enough, yet the suspension can not compensate the body roll. Very hard to take bumpy roads, especially on winding roads, extremely hard to take full control. Stability is the main issue.

The control panel, placed in centre of dashboard might be intriguing, but is not very effective.

Anyway, as transportation from A to B, this car might be very handy, especially in the jammed traffic of Jakarta. Amazing mpg also.

Interior is a bit too much of plastic look, not so comfortable seating, very small legroom for rear passengers and some of the upholstery is easily worn out. But all is minor.

And I am only doing scheduled maintenance as directed, no plans to improve it.

2003 Toyota VIOS 1.5 G 1.5 gasoline VVT-i

Summary:

As good as it gets

Faults:

Nothing, it's one year old car.

Hope it will have no problem at all.

General Comments:

Toyota advertised VIOS featuring Britney Spears "It's Everything".

For me "It's almost everything".

One of the best looking small sedan. This top of the line 1.5 G comes loaded with ABS with EBD, digital instruments, fog lamps, 15 inch alloy, and others. Nice interior with firm and comfortable seats, but without seat height adjustable. Unlike Thai and Singapore-spec, the VIOS for Indonesia doesn't come with SRS Airbag.

You get what you pay, this Thai-built Toyota offers best value in the nice packaging.

The VIOS might be called a scaled down Corolla Altis or a baby Camry, with, but I wish it comes with "Celica-feel" steering & handling.

I have recently bought a brand new 1.5 Vios. So far, so good. I am happy about it. I hope it will live up to what it claims to be.

I just got my new Vios 1.5 G, so pretty happy with the exterior look, and good handling. Good pick up power, but I found the water licking at the bottom, maybe the aircond is too cold.
