1994 Peugeot 205 GR 1.4 petrol

Summary:

One of the most reliable cars I ever met; comfortable, drives great and well built - one of a kind

Faults:

This model has 2 front electric windows, and the one on the driver's side stopped working 4 years ago

But honestly, nothing but natural wear out of parts.

We are talking about 16 year old parts...!

General Comments:

Great car.

Great return on investment.

Very reliable.

Small engine, but still kicking.

Amazing how the car sticks to the road.

This is really a forever car.

Agree with everything you said in the review.

The 205 was the most important car for Peugeot in the last century; it not only saved the brand from bankruptcy but also broke sales records worldwide.

I particularly like the XUD diesel and GTI versions, but any engine it had was good. Even the 1.4 in this review is more than adequate for this car.

The 206 was a very good replacement, but for me, it lacked the mystique of the 205. A car that will forever be remembered for its reliability and fuel economy.

Great mini

Faults:

Power windows failed.

Air conditioning makes lots of noise.

Gear shift is hard to put in reverse.

General Comments:

Small, compact, and fun to drive. Even if it means going to the garage once in a while.
