2000 Peugeot 206 RX 1.4 gasoline

Summary:

Do not make the same mistake, get Japanese or German

Faults:

Everything went wrong, the gearbox had issues, the computer system as well, sensors... I bought the car for $7600 and spent $3500 on repairs in 11 months.

General Comments:

It's a good looking car, but rotten from the inside.

Even though this car isn't new, but everyone who gets a Peugeot 206, especially the automatic transmission ones, suffers big time. Let alone the spare parts being low in quality and high in price.

I'm sorry but you have a 206 RX or RC, cause there is a big difference.. I'm just wondering if you're mistaken between the RC and the XR?

2006 Peugeot 206 RC (GTi 180) 2.0

Summary:

A wonderful driver's car

Faults:

The clutch vibrates when starting from a standstill, this is very annoying in heavy traffic.

Gear changes are not smooth, I feel the clutch grinding, especially when changing from 4th to 3rd.

General Comments:

This car has lots of power and I enjoy driving it a lot.

It's handling is very good and very predictive and graduate.

The ride is fairly comfortable for a sports car, however, noise is a bit high when cruising on a highway.

The rims are exposed, when parking near a sidewalk, they get scratched easily.
