Faults:

-The windshield wiper system broke down in the middle of the highway in a flood of rain.

-The rear window wiper doesn't work properly, it doesn't move sometimes, and then the next minute it does.

-Recently the blower broke down. Does anyone recognize this problem? I'm searching for an answer to fix it.

General Comments:

It's not a pretty car, it's not a luxurious one, but it's pretty reliable!

It has never let me down yet, it always starts.

After 300.000 kilometers it still purrs like a kitten.

Faults:

The heat system stopped working after a very bumpy road.

Acceleration problems at some point resulting in an almost un-drivable car.

Tired wear out quicker than expected (but this could also be my because of my driving style).

General Comments:

Apart from above described problems, I never had any problems with it despite its age.

The car drives very good. Very fast acceleration, comfortable seats and drives really stable (although very noisy) at high speed. In Germany I could cope with the 190+ km/h driving BMW's without problems. :-)

The car handling makes me feel safe in it, even at high speed.

One little 'problem': 3 people on the backseat makes the back too heavy to be able to drive over heavy bumps.

I still love it.

Faults:

I don't know, I haven't owned the car that long.

General Comments:

This car is a must to drive, it's sporty and beautiful (at least I think so).

I've fitted a Scorpion exhaust to have more performance and a deep sound.

And in combination with my pipercross open air filter, I think I have about 150BHP to use.

I really can't think about other cars any more.

It's more sporty than my previous Sierra 2.0 DOHC and I always thought that was the right car for me.

I can recommend this car to everybody who wants a semi race car.

General Comments:

I bought my Escort for 700 guilders (about 200 pounds) and it just keeps on going. Of course it is a bit slow, but what would you expect from a 1100 cc engine? I built in a loud stereo-system to improve my pleasure in driving, because the Escort corners a lot less spectacularly than my Panda.
