1992 Honda Concerto 1.5i

Summary:

Drives way better than it looks

Faults:

One of the front lights was damaged. Cost way more money than I expected to fix.

Exhaust pipe was rotten the year I bought it. This was fixed easily and rather cheaply.

General Comments:

Excellent car, always runs without a hitch.

It handles very smoothly, good grip in all kinds of weather.

The fuel usage varies; when it's cold the car seems to use more fuel, also on longer trips.

I was amazed that even after 11 years I could drive it at 160 km/h without any trouble. I didn't want to go any faster than that though, because of the engine noise, which really got loud at that speed. I generally cruise at 140-150 km/h, so I have a little power left if necessary, and have no trouble with that with this car.

1991 Honda Concerto 1.6i 16v

Summary:

A very reliable, sporty car

Faults:

Battery defective when I bought the car.

Generator broken at 150000 kilometers.

General Comments:

I bought this car very cheap. I didn't have very much money at that time, so I looked for a bargain.

The Concerto has a very unpopular design and the one I own is white,so the price was very low.

I was totally astonished by the way the car drove when I had a test-drive. It drove like a new car!!

It's really the most reliable car I ever owned, it has never let me down.

The performance is very high too. The motor easily runs up to 6500 to 7000 rpm.

However the power windows are heavily worn and almost don't go up and down any more. But hey, what do you expect after 13 years of service...
