A nice car, but can be expensive
62000 miles - window regulator broke - $331.
64000 miles - needed a new ABS system - $2,100.
66000 miles - GPS navigation doesn't work right (have not fixed). New oxygen sensors, and new brake pads. $822 total.
I bought this car from my grandmother who has owned it since brand new. It did great for her and she barely drove it.
It's fast, comfortable, stylish, and has a great Bose sound system.
I've had the car for almost a year. I'm not very satisfied with the amount of money in repairs I've had to put in it. The GPS is now screwed up along with the clock built into it.
A few times I've considered selling it, but I figured that it'd cost too much for a newer car. I plan to keep it for now, but I think the GPS will have to be the same for now, because if I fix it, it might cost another grand which I don't have.
I love the car a lot, but if I buy another Acura it'd be a newer one.

I have a 97 RL also, and the Navigation is giving me issues, too. If you still have your car, I found a site that has the GPS hard disk for $90 - www.navhelp.com - I just wish there was an upgrade to have coast to coast coverage on one disk.
I've found that while some of the repairs on an Acura or Honda can be a bit on the expensive side, it's well worth the cost. We both have a 13 year old car that is still a "head turner", and is still more advanced than some of the new cars on the road today.
Hope this helps!
