2005 Acura RL 3.5 liter V6

Summary:

Supremely comfortable, handles great

Faults:

I bought this car used in 2012. I have had all the bugs that were in 2005 in my car, except rattling sunroof and rear sunscreen rattle.

A/C went out, AFS light was on due to AFS system malfunction, drivetrain whine, leaking coolant, H.I.D. bulbs went out.

But I still love the car.

General Comments:

My 2005 Acura RL spent a great deal of time with the mechanic when I first bought it. But looking back now it was worth it. After all the repairs, car runs better now than when I first bought it.

The AWD is not great in the snow. Does require snow tires. But the car handles much smaller than it is and is very comfortable. Have driven from NY to Florida and back on numerous occasions and never felt overdue fatigue. Having said that, the lights that come on when a sensor detects an issue are way too sensitive.

After market parts are in some respects better than OEM when it comes to the drive train whine; got the drivetrain rebuilt and the whine has not come back in over 80,000 miles.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
