2003 Acura TL type s w/ nav sys 3.2L SOHC 260 hp V6

Summary:

A sports sedan that would still be popular if it cost another $5,000

Faults:

So far, no problems!

General Comments:

-This is a terrific car! The performance, styling, and features completely blow me away. I have no regrets and would definitely do business with Acura again. My Acura came with numerous factory installed options, including additional wood trim on the steering wheel, dash, and instrument cluster.

-I would recommend the TL type s to anyone who is in the market for a sports sedan with extra punch.

2003 Acura TL Type S 3.2

Summary:

No other car in this class can touch the combination of price, features and performance

Faults:

Absolutely nothing has gone wrong with this car.

General Comments:

This car has incredible acceleration, great handling and a killer interior design.

The only 2 things I might change, the shift gate is a little tough to maneuver and the moon-roof controls should be located overhead near the top of the windshield instead of on the dash to the left of the steering wheel. These are minor complaints which I'm sure will disappear as I become more familiar with the car.

My only complaint about the car is that it is not as successful at isolating road noise as one might expect of a car in this price range.

2003 Acura TL Type S 3.2

Summary:

Great performance for great price

Faults:

So far I haven't had any problems with the car yet. I like Honda products. I've driven Lexus, BMW, and Infiniti products and they all were really nice cars, but I guess when it all comes down to it, it is more of a preference. I always thought Honda's were good and Acura's were even better.

I recently drove a BMW 3 series and was very impressed. I understand their slogan "The Ultimate Driving Machine." It handled extremely well and had a very strong take off, but it was a little too sporty for me and not enough luxury. I'm not saying that the TL Type S is some big premium luxury car, but I feel that it is a very well balanced car and it gives you the best of both worlds for the best price.

General Comments:

I can't wait for the 2004 TL Type S, with more horse power and more room. At least this is what roomers are. It is supposed to have 300 ponies under the hood.

Review was o.k., but should one base one's purchase on what another's "roomers" have to say?

Review was excellent. The following is in regards to the comment Jan. 8th.: Should one set in judgment of another, particularly over something so small as a misspelled word...it's something we "mortals" do from time to time.

2003 Acura TL Type S 3.2

Summary:

Terrific buy when compared with others in its class

Faults:

To new to tell.

General Comments:

The car is VERY fast and handles fantastically. Really love it so far and have gotten lots of compliments on styling. Black leather interior is bad with kids, but since it's my husbands car (mostly), who cares. Heated seats are a little weak.

2003 Acura TL (not Type S) 3.2L

Summary:

Luxurious for $30K

Faults:

Nothing really, kind of early to tell. Sometimes pushy dealers.

General Comments:

Acuras are reliable. I did my research. I drove the cars - including Passat, Lex, BMW. For the price, this is easily the best car for the buck, and highly reliable. I did try the Type S and the tighter suspension wasn't it for me... if I wanted to race I would want a Integra Type R. Super acceleration. Extra smooth ride - as good as Lexsus. If anything, poor braking. The car also overturns a bit in my opionion. Very stable on curves though.

This is a very roomy car, can fit back seaters very comfy 2 six footers easily with plenty of leg room to spare. Great cup holder design. Good mirrors (back and sides) coated with anti-reflective. HID (super bright) headlights. Uses gas quite a lot in my opinion, and especially recommended premium 92. Would I get another? Yes, but I probably would have included the Type S and with the Navigation system for $4K more, making the total price of $34.

I am not sure I understand your comments made regarding the TL-S. First you mention that you did not like the S (you stated that you would have gotten the Integra if you wanted to race) because the S had tighter suspension.

Then in the second part of your comments you mentioned that you would do it again - but this time you would have gotten the TL-S model.

I am considering the S model because of the 260hp - but I am concerned with the comments I read regarding the ride on the S model not being smooth and also noisy tires with the S model.

Good luck with your acura.
