2003 BMW 7 Series 745LI

Summary:

Terrible car to own!!!

Faults:

Had to replace a pipe for the cooling system; very expensive.

Had to have the transmission pan replaced.

Park brake sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced.

All relatively expensive!!

General Comments:

This is a very comfortable driving car, but it stays in the repair shop more than it is on the road.

I'm always very nervous about driving this car, just waiting at a moment's notice for something to fail!!

Faults:

Nothing so far, and I doubt anything ever will!

General Comments:

Amazing doesn't begin to describe the new 760li. I could praise it for hours, and I still wouldn't do the car justice. It is certainly expensive, but no one can argue that it isn't worth it. Great job BMW, excellent job!

I wonder if this reviewer has had any issues with his 760 over the ensuing years? I read postings from other 2003 760li users, and many of them rue the day they bought this car. They love the looks, the ride and the overall luxury, but they hate the fact that it spends so much time at the dealers being repaired. They never know what will pop up next... from leaks to bad transmissions, it's a real erratic ride with this car.

I wish posters wouldn't write a vehicle review one month after bringing it home from the dealership! At least let a year or two pass before writing about your ownership experience. Of course your new car will be amazing right after it leaves the factory. Tell us what it's like after the warranty runs out!

A primo car for the first 60,000 miles... maybe.
