1972 BMW E3 Bavaria 3.5 liter m30 carbureted

Summary:

A very reliable and inexpensive classic car

Faults:

Other than normal wear parts such as brakes and tires, it's been an extraordinarily reliable ride.

I've blown out the stock-style giubo twice, and I've since replaced it with a later model one.

I replaced the drive shaft center bearing once.

I replaced a wheel bearing that went bad.

I drive it every day and am not hesitant to undertake any voyage. In 2017 I made a 6500-mile trip down into Mexico for a little road racing.

General Comments:

It has been a very reliable daily driver. It's easy to work on and, contrary to what I was told, not very expensive to maintain.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
