1999 Cadillac Escalade

Summary:

Too much money, but a good SUV

Faults:

The oil started leaking.

The brakes don't work well.

The rear left light didn't work after three weeks of purchase.

We gave the car to the dealer to check the brakes, but the dealer said they were fine, but the brakes really were not fine. You have to press the brake pedal all the way just to stop.

General Comments:

The car eats too much gas. But we like it, anyways the 1999 Cadillac was leased. We had it for three years 1999-2002. When we used to live in the upstate in New York, in the winter it was really cold and a lot of snow, the Escalade has heated seats so we turned them on really warm and cozy.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Hey I just bought a 1999 Cadillac Escalade from a Cadillac dealer in Syracuse I was wondering if you traded it in to a dealer in Syracuse. Please Respond.

Escalades are smart to buy used as they are just decked out chevy tahoes.

I just purchased a 350Z and still drive my Escalade. It's a 2002 and I don't ever plan on getting rid of this SUV. It has over 28,000 miles on it and all I've had done is regular maintenance and new tires. Well the tires don't really count since I upgraded to 26" Jesse James One-Offs. I read the comment that this is the " Greatest SUV in the World " and I completely agree.

You want heated seats, better gas mileage, better brakes, and still be able to get through New York snowstorms with ease? Buy a Jeep. You CAN'T beat it's 4X4. No computer crap like on some of the Infinity's and Lexus's, just pure 4X4. None of that "your car knows when it's on rain and snow and such" bull crap, you control it yourself, when you want it. Besides, the ones that are computer controlled will break down more easily.

Jeeps suck (just empty everyone's pockets). No luxury at all!
