1991 Cadillac Seville

Summary:

So much power in such small car, I think Cadillac did well with this one

Faults:

A/C compressor failed.

Driver and passenger window motors failed.

Deck lid motor failed.

Power antenna failed.

Water pump and radiator failed together.

2 alternators failed.

Bose radio speakers failed one at a time.

General Comments:

In general, this is a truly great car. It has power for days, and is extremely comfortable with having the image of an old man's car.

I have put many miles on this car, and expected an older car to have problem. The most expensive problem so far has been the A/C. I feel that is mostly I wanted to replace all of the parts of the A/C, but a $1,500 dollar repair was not that bad and the A/C works great.

I am told that the air suspension system will go bad one day, and that Cadillac no longer repairs them (the car that is), as well as no longer sells the repair for the air suspension.

For a 4.9 Liter V8 from 1991, 23 miles per gallon isn't bad.. but I do have an K&N air filter in there.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
