Faults:

My VATS ignition was giving me problems, like not starting every time.

General Comments:

This is one fine car, I bought my first 1993 Seville in 1997, and sold it with over 240,000 miles on it in 2007.

I then found my present 1993 Seville one owner beauty, only 87,000 miles for a nice price.

These cars are very well built inside and out. Also are very powerful and comfortable.

This car still looks great and gets compliments daily!!

If you have this problem with your VATS ignition, do not replace it at about $300.00 parts and labor, you can bypass this by wiring in a resistor. I had a locksmith do it for $70.00.

Faults:

Seal on the intake manifold was leaking and the car was running rough at idle. fixed it for about $100.00 and has been fine for past 8 years.

Transmission went at 98,000. fixed for 2300.00 and runs like new ever since.

Headlight sentinel is not working and blowing fuses. will get it checked soon.

General Comments:

4.6 northstar is unbelievably powerful. This engine is very quiet and does not leak a drop of oil.

Seats are comfortable.

Ride is smooth and handling is great for a 4000 pound vehicle.

Truly a road car.

Faults:

Oil pan began leaking around 180,000 miles.

Transmission wouldn't shift at around 175,000 miles.

Alternator broke at around 212,000 miles.

General Comments:

This vehicle is definitely the nicest car I've owned.

It has unstoppable, and sometimes scary amounts of power. I have done nothing, but drive this car as hard as it can possibly be driven. Turns are taken hard and quick, acceleration is always quick and snarling, and stops are usually abrupt with little precaution. All of this said, this vehicle has done nothing, but satisfy me in all of these situations, it's also a big plus that the car is gorgeous inside, and out. And I always have people asking me if the vehicle is a 1997 or a 1998. The look of this car will never be considered old.

The interior is black, with very comfortable front and rear seats.

The Bose stereo system is awesome and sounds better then any aftermarket system i've ever heard.

Faults:

Lost A/C Refrigerant.

Blower motor replaced.

Power Steering Coolant line leaked.

General Comments:

For a 4000 lb car, it moves like it's MUCH lighter.

Rear view mirrors are exceptionally small, and large B pillar makes huge blind spot..

Faults:

My traction control and ABS went out on the vehicle, but who wants those anyway. I was relieved more than anything, the car would break the front wheels loose at 45MPH.

General Comments:

I bought the car with 140k on it and drove it like a bat out of hell for 44 thousand miles. I never once had a problem in the 9 months I owned that vehicle, infact the only reason I got rid of the car is because I needed something to tow my boat. Well after driving a non- Cadillac vehicle for 4 months I realized my mistake and sold the boat and the truck and I am buying another STS.

The ride was great.

The performance was awesome for a 4000lb luxery vehicle.

Classic styling

Very low maintenance.

Very very reliable.
