1991 Chevrolet Corsa LT 3.1

Summary:

Loved it from day one... still going strong

Faults:

Water pump failed.

I replaced the alternator x2 times.

Had some gas leaks 3 places patched with rubber hoses.

The oxygen sensor 1 fell apart, most likely not used for several years.

Sad day when the air-conditioning evaporator went south. Too $ to fix.

The crank angle sensor was replaced at 200000kms. Won't run if this is broken. My advice to you is replace it at 100,000 miles.

Horns x3.

General Comments:

I have owned this car since it was in the showroom. It is a very reliable and comfortable car. It has amazing power and agility.

Minor repairs and adjustments over the years have kept it running like new.

It runs pretty much the same as the day I bought it. The engine is very sound.

It is the V6 3.1. Original exhaust system except for the muffler which I installed with a clamp so it is repairable every few years. The exhaust is stainless steel which all cars should have.

The car is a good size for a communter highway car. Good on gas and comfortable. Original sound system is above average.

It's a very solid car still. I fixed only a few holes on the under side with fiberglass Bond and black paint.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No
