Badly rusted when received.

Required a lot of body work and paint.

Rear frame rails rusted still and need to be replaced.

Needed all new brake system front and rear.

General Comments:

The Car looks great runs real strong and fast.

Interior is roomy and very comfortable.

Sound great with hooker exhaust system.

Very rare with only 6500 made and acquired for the price to have it towed to my house.

1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Super Sport 305 c.i. L69 5.0 liter HO

Summary:

The best car GM ever made!!!

Faults:

So far, I had very few problems. The only problem I've had so far is that I blew the bottom end of the transmission out. I have driven the car hard everyday. The drivers side seat has some little tears, but no big deals and the paint has some surface rust. I am going to get a new paint job on it soon.

General Comments:

I have had a passion for these cars since I was 9, I am now 16 and love my Monte Carlo SS. I wouldn't trade it in for anything. I have plans for Cragar SS wheels and a 454 to go under the hood. This car handles like a dream with my sway bars and new shocks.

1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe 5.0 L69 V8 H.O.

Summary:

Nostalgic, good power, all around excellent car

Faults:

Only one thing has gone wrong with it in the 2 years I've owned it. It was on display by the previous owner, and never driven. The wheel bearing in the right front froze up. But it was under warranty.

It has NO rust. The paint is still flawless.

General Comments:

I have been in love with the Monte Carlo SS ever since my Dad brought his blue one home brand new in 1984. I wanted one real bad. And when I turned 16 I purchased a Silver 1985 Monte Carlo SS. The car had higher miles, but was dependable. Driven everyday with no problems for 3 years. Then sold it after I bought my low mile 1987 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe.

The Aero rarely sees snow, it's reliable, fun to drive, a sharp car all around. I love it.
