Faults:

My alternator went at 80,000 miles.

The timing belt went at 100,000 miles.

Driver side power window has to be pushed back in order for it to go up.

Center console plastic lid broke a while ago.

Passenger side window sill area, the paint is starting to peel off.

I do have an oil leak. I am not sure where though, but, I have to add one quart of oil a week. I have been keeping up with that for at least 2 years.

I replaced both of my headlights within a few weeks apart at around 125,000 miles.

General Comments:

This car is super sporty for me.

It handles very well in any type of weather.

It seems to avoid accidents.

Very roomy and comfortable for long trips.

The car is a gas guzzler, but, it has been getting me around without a problem.

Faults:

Air conditioning quit in summer of 2002.

Center console lid broke.

Doors are very hard to open from inside the car.

Automatic locks, lock, then won't unlock, until you use the key, on the outside.

Rear Defroster wasn't working when I bought the car.

Inside of trunk, leaks water somewhere.

Have to watch how I take my keys out of my pocket, sometimes I bump the remote entry button, and the trunk opens up, even when I am in the house.

On a cold day, you start it up, and it races to 2500 rpm, then if you put it into gear, it idles down to 2000, and a couple times more, it goes down to idle. I can understand 1000 rpm, but 2500 sounds like the engine is coming apart.

Brakes squeal badly, especially after it rains.

Seating lays so low, I have hard time getting in, and out.

Mirror, on windshield fell off for no practical reason.

Long hood, seems to drop off too soon. Hard to distinguish distance.

Low profile tires, make for a hard ride.

General Comments:

The car really runs well, takes off good.

Handles real well, in all sorts of weather.

Sleek body lines, makes for racy look.

Alloy wheels, rear spoiler, and bra, really sets these cars off.

Enjoy bucket seats, and center console.

Console mounted automatic transmission shifter, makes it feel something like a race car.

Faults:

The timing belt had to be replaced at 50,000 miles.

Compressor for a/c was always problematic. Dealer in Bethesda Maryland refused to identify the problem. New York shop identified it *AFTER* warranty had expired.

Cheap plastic reminds me of my 1968 AMC Javelin (Loved that car too).

General Comments:

Have had the car for 7 years and will keep it until it become unservicable, until I drive it into the ground.

3.4 liter engine provides so much power that it reminds me of the V8 pony car I had in high school.

Very comfortable seating and smooth ride. Handling a little soft, but an excellent highway cruiser. Engine a bit noisy. Good stereo, heat, power accessories.

Faults:

It would be easier to list what hasn't gone wrong with this car. I've replaced or need to replace most drive line and suspension parts. The worst part is the replacement parts are not only hard to find - they are very expensive.

General Comments:

In theory, this should be a very nice car, but it's too expensive and unreliable in the real world.
