1993 Chevrolet Suburban K 1500 / Cheyenne 5.7/350 V8

Summary:

Simply magnificent!

Faults:

Windshield wiper motor was very quirky.

General Comments:

The 5.7 V8 delivers dependable power in city and highway usage. Although most literature claims fuel consumption @13CTY/17HWY, I have experienced 16/20 respectively.

Cabin is very quiet and comfortable. No rattles, squeaks, or wind whistles.

The one downside to this giant is that it leans hard during cornering. Be gentle in the turns and she will be gentle in return.

Well I have a 93 SLE 2500 Suburban, and all I can think is that this car is great, I mean I sure notice the difference between my 62 ragtop Vw, in the gas matters, but, hey comfort worth while!

GREAT CAR!

Yeah 16/20mpg is great... I've got a 2 door Tahoe and I get 16/18mpg at best. Safer to say 15/17, but it varies from 15.8mpg, which is closer to 16. But whatever. I think I need a tune up as I smell raw fuel at times as well. Very happy with my truck, but then it's just a truck as well LOL.

1993 Chevrolet Suburban K2500 HD 7.4l 454CID TBI

Summary:

A huge truck with a great attitude

Faults:

Nothing major has gone wrong with the truck.

Hydro-boost line was leaking when I bought the truck.

Replaced Alternator with higher amp model at 92,000 miles.

Changed all the filters and fluids when I purchased the truck.

General Comments:

This truck weighs in at 9975 lbs full of gas. It has a rear end out of a K3500 pick-up and will pull anything.

We get very little snow where I live, so most people are not accustomed to winter diving. Last winter I came upon a city snow plow that got stuck. I pulled out the log chains and pulled this 20,000lb + snow-plow from his demise. This Suburban is one hell of a pulling son-of-a-gun, for a truck with a tow capacity listed at only 10,000lbs.I would highly recommend getting the K2500 Suburban for towing and spaciousness. The stiff springs in the back do give it a choppy ride when empty, and the gas mileage is about 10MPG in town and 15MPG on the highway. Those two things are the only drawbacks to this truck.
