This Blazer was OK until things started to wear out. The engineering is horrendous! Extremely hard to work on without spending a fortune on parts.

1999 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.3L

Summary:

Very excellent car

Faults:

Wheel bearings went out just before the extended warranty (wheewww). The part alone usually cost $300.

As the car is getting up there in years, the check engine light keeps coming on telling me the injector bank 1 is running lean. I'm afraid to fix it, because of previous problems with a 95 Blazer that cost me well over $4000 in repairs in a 6 month period.

Currently the rear seal is leaking, and the transmission is leaking.

General Comments:

Overall this car is awesome. I haven't had a lot of costly repairs, brakes last a long time, tires last a long time, and I have yet to replace any light bulbs on the car.
