Faults:

Transmission - twice. 1st: 87,000, 2nd: 123,000.

Blower control relay four times.

Stereo - dealer changed for defective LED lighting.

Convertible rear glass: came loose at 66,000, & replaced at 155,000. Took several years to finally fail, unable to stick glass to fabric, had to replace the glass at a fabric shop for $400.00. REAR GLASS WAS NOT BROKEN, BUT USELESS NOW!!!

Front wheel alignment: performed every season I've owned the car.

General Comments:

Basically, I bought this car in the middle of the winter time due to my past convertible didn't keep out the weather, so loved the fact this top was insulated and the fabric was very durable.

No major problems with the top, but with the rear window, if your rear window starts to become loose or separates from the glass, fix it immediately because it will get worse, and you will be stuck with a rear glass that is still good, but useless. I have the old glass in my garage.

The blower relay has went out over four times, which only lets the blower motor go from high to low only, no speed in between.

I had the tranny replaced twice, thanks to the warranty the second time. It seems Chrysler has a problem creating a good tranny, so be aware!! I will not buy another Chrysler car ever!!

I hope this car will last for another three years so my son can take it off my hands.

This has been a nice car, minus the tranny and back window issue.

Faults:

Water pump locked up, wearing the timing belt out.

Check engine light comes on.

Passenger sun visor won't stay in place.

There is a electrical short in the mirror someplace.

Oil leaks into the spark plug holes.

General Comments:

I like the big ride it gives.

It looks great.

Front end squeaks when you ride over bumps.

Driver's seat does not go back far enough.

Faults:

Front brake pads/rotors replaced/warped.

Heat/AC fan only works on High.

Front end/suspension feels "sloppy".

Check engine light - EGR.

Oil in spark plug tubes.

New valve cover/spark plug gaskets.

Oil light flashes at idle/low rpm?

General Comments:

Oil & filter has been changed regularly; having valve covers off, there is no sludge/gunk, the top of the engine looks perfect! When warm, the "oil light" flashes, then come on continuously when turning or at idle (drops to 500 RPM). When the idle is increased to 1000, the oil light goes off. Never comes on when running at operating speed, no engine noise.

Could it be just sending unit, or oil pump failing? Anyone else have this issue???

Faults:

A rear window motor at 125000 miles.

A starter at 130000 miles.

A roof motor at 125000 miles.

A distributor at 140000 miles.

General Comments:

This is one of the better cars I have ever owned. It is roomy and very comfortable for both driver and passengers.

I bought my Sebring with 37000 miles on it, and it is the Platinum Limited Edition with the two tone leather seats and chrome wheels. A very beautiful car.

I had a choice of buying a Mercedes or this car, and chose the Sebring. I think my Sebring is one of the prettiest ones I've seen, and I have seen only 2 others just like mine, in New Orleans where I live.

I got frustrated recently when I paid a friend of mine, who is also a mechanic, to repair a valve cover gasket. He broke my distributor. I had to pay 700.00 at a local shop to have it repaired. Other than that, she has held up fine.

I still get complemented on it when I drive it, and it's ten years old. I think I'll have it for a long time to come, because I love driving it, even though my roof top is weak, and I have to help the top up and down. It worth the inconvenience though.

I also like the fact that it is the American made convertible built.
