2006 Chrysler Sebring Sedan Touring 2.7L V6

Summary:

Great deal for the buck

Faults:

Oil changed routinely until discovery of info about sludgy Chrysler 2.7L engines.

30,000 miles: Feb 2008 purchased car.

46,000 miles: Flushed for sludge.

50,000 miles: Flushed and replaced with full synthetic.

55,000 miles: Air filter replaced.

At 55,000 it's still running good, no problems.

General Comments:

Rides decent, sufficient pickup, great handling.

I don't like the cloth seats, but I'm a fan of leather.

Stock stereo/CD player and speakers work great.

The dash is stylish black and silver.

2006 Chrysler Sebring Sedan Touring 2.7 V6

Summary:

Great bang for the buck

Faults:

So far nothing has gone wrong with the car.

General Comments:

The car is quick and handles great.

The visibility is great.

The car is very comfy, and it's easy to get in and out of.

Great stereo.

Only thing that you could complain about is the trunk carpet and spare cover, but it's a very easy fix with a jig saw, some glue, plywood and a bit of carpet.

2006 Chrysler Sebring Sedan Touring 2.7L V6

Summary:

Terrific Family Sedan!

Faults:

Sun visor broke when we got it, replaced under warranty.

Passenger side weather stripping broke when we got it, replaced under warranty.

General Comments:

This is our second Sebring, and its great! the 2.7L pulls strong and the transmission is really responsive to the power.

Ride is a little rougher than the base Sebring thanks to the for sportier suspension, but is still very comfy.

2006 Chrysler Sebring Sedan Touring 2.7L V6

Summary:

Great deal, great car, great choice.

Faults:

The molding on the side started to come off. We went to the Ford Dealership where we got it at, and they glued it back on for no charge.

The flooring for the trunk (and behind the rear-seat, since the seats fold down) is very badly designed. It was all supposed to be glued together (the spare sits under it and the floor comes out easily, too easily) and only part of the very cheap wood and some type of cloth stayed together, out of 2 pieces of wood, the carpet flooring, and the cloth underneath the wood.

General Comments:

I love the cruise control on the steering wheel, great design there.

The stereo system works great. I may upgrade to one with a navigation system! Or at least get Sirius Radio.

The seats are perfectly comfortable. The only one I would think wouldn't be is the middle seat in the back, but that's totally understandable.

When sitting in the back, there is so much room, and the cup holders are great. Though, total in the car is 4, and there are 5 people that it can fit...

The car acceleration is very fast. When I go to school, I have to go on the highway, after stopping. When I get onto the highway, I can accelerate to 65 in less than 10 seconds, which is great when the traffic is bad.

There is a bit of road noise when you are on old pavement. You can drown it out though with the windows open, or with the radio.

I like the middle storage bin, except for the coin holder. The coin holder which the car comes with is on the front side of it, and places the coins in about a 75 degree angle down. The dimes fall out, and so do the pennies. Oh well, I just use the ash-tray the dealership gave me to put my coins in.

The driver's side foot mat slides a little bit, even with the hook "holding" it in place. Only a little bit though, not that bad.

I love the air and heating controls. Only three knobs to use, and that's it, no air button, it's on the knob, no circulate button, it's on the knob. The only thing not on the knobs is the defrost button, which I like, because that way I can still get air on my face and use the defrost, unlike most cars where it's the floor and the defroster.

Everything is great on the car, and great design. I actually want to, or did want to, upgrade to a 2007, but I can wait until a couple years when the gas mileage on the car gets too high.
