2010 Chrysler Town and Country Touring 3.5 Liter gas

Summary:

Excellent family van, just watch for problems

Faults:

The engine shutters when shifted into reverse and you press on the gas pedal; it worries my wife. She thinks that there is a very serious problem with the van. We already took it to the dealer, and they can't replicate the problem. Joy.

The left passenger sliding door became stuck this morning, and we had to shut it manually. Pulled on the handle like usual to open, and no problems since.

The Stow N' Go Seating is difficult/impossible to work. I still have not figured it out, even after following the instructions in the owner's manual.

General Comments:

The van has been running well since we purchased it. We sold our '92 Explorer to finish off the down-payment on our new van. So far, there have only been a few problems.

We enjoy the manual shift capabilities. It makes for some fun driving at times, we have actually burned some rubber as well.

Sometimes the get-up-and-go on hills isn't as great as it was on the Explorer. We just finished our annual trip to Upstate New York, where the hills are pretty large, and it was a little slow with all of our gear.

Still haven't tested it in NYC, or the snow, so let's hope that it handles well than. I don't want to ruin this van.

We love the seats, they are amazingly comfortable!

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

This is from the original poster:

Well we had a few more problems with the driver's sliding door getting stuck. One day when we had put our twin sons in their car seats, the door would not close with the button. You aren't supposed to close power doors with manual power because it can ruin the door, but we had to.

We also found a problem with a rattle coming from the cupholder section. Turns out a screw had come loose, and just needed to be tightened.

We took the Van to our dealership, Warnock Dodge Chrysler Jeep, and they replaced a part in the door under the warranty, I don't remember what it is called, but we haven't had the problem return since.
