1998 Dodge Avenger Sport 2.5 V6 SOHC

Summary:

I love my 1998 Dodge Avenger

Faults:

I just recently put on a new front axle and hubs and new ball joints. This all cost about 1000.00. The parts for this car are very expensive, but the car is very reliable.

General Comments:

This is a very quick little car, and the engine is great, but front end parts seem to go on this model. I enjoy this car very much and would recommend this car to anyone.

1998 Dodge Avenger EX V6

Faults:

When braking the steering wheel and the brake pedal is shaking a lot. I have had the front brake pads and rotors replaced not long ago, what could be causing this problem??

Maybe you should try a front end allignment, and/or new tires.

1998 Dodge Avenger Sport 2.5 6 cylinder

Summary:

My dream car

Faults:

The paint is fading on the hood and trunk. The stock brakes didn't work that great in the rain.

General Comments:

This car is definitely the best car that I have drive. All of my friends think that it is really cool looking, some say that it looks a little bit like a viper from the front. It can handle itself in a race with almost all 6 cylinder cars. The car can handle corners at high speeds. It has a good time from 0-60HP.

The car is very comfortable, I never thought a sports car could feel this good.

1998 Dodge Avenger ES 2.5L V6

Summary:

A few quirks, but overall an outstanding automobile!

Faults:

Little things like:

Two of the speakers were shot.

The headliner on the sunroof cover is starting to peel.

Trunk and glove box light switches needed replacing.

And the nit-twit at the dealer tore the window tint on the passenger's rear window when he removed the window sticker.

The biggest problem with the car is the paint is wearing off rapidly leaving huge white blotches on the top, hood, and trunk.

General Comments:

It is comfortable for everyday driving or long trips, but I do wish the steering column had more height adjustment to make getting in and out easier without hitting your knees.

Plenty of power when you need it, though it isn't a V8 muscle car, it is enough for this car and it will surprise a few people.

Great style! Some styles age poorly, but this one still fits in today as much as it did then. The style is timeless.

The best thing about it is the handling. This car can easily take a 35 mph turn at 45 or more.

And great gas mileage for a V6! Currently averaging 23 town / 32 highway!

Overall quality of the vehicle is good. A few little things like rattles and the sunroof doesn't always close like it should, but the drive train is bulletproof. An easy 200+ thousand miles!

General Comments:

This car is so much fun to drive! It's got great power and handles like a dream. It can turn heads. A lot of people really enjoy just looking at the car!

I bought my 98 Dodge Avenger ES right off of the truck. It was still wrapped in plastic. I have loved every minute of it. I have had a few cosmetic problems. Both door handles broke off in my hand, the liner came off of the sunroof, the front headlight covers got really milky and the paint is wearing off in big white spots. The car has run like a top though. Performance wise I couldn't have asked for better. I'm pushing 100,000 miles and it still runs great. It's a hot looking car and my son is very grateful to have it handed down to him for his first car.
