1998 Dodge Pickup 5.2

Summary:

I was good when it was covered by a warranty

Faults:

My 1998 dodge truck was a real nice machine until it hit 100,001 miles, then it seemed like everything went wrong with it. First the engine would knock during a rainstorm. That was after a recent wire plug and distributor (way up underneath everything) change. Then it would refuse to start good on misty/rainy days... (sounds like old school dodge problems to me) I changed the coil, put in a fresh battery, and even changed the fuel filter/pump in the tank to make sure that might not be a problem. It ran for a while after that and this spring the transmission went. I only have about 125,000 miles on this truck, and it was always used highway to commute to work. That was with regular check-ups (oil, tires, etc. etc..) I guess that good old general taking care of cars is not good enough some times?

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

Sure the plugs and such were changed correctly?
