1992 Dodge Ram Pickup W350 LE 5.9L Cummins turbo diesel

Summary:

A heavy duty hauling machine!

Faults:

Nothing yet.

General Comments:

A solid, reliable work truck. Yes, it has a rough ride and sits high, and the turning radius is like an ocean liner, but it wasn't designed to be a yuppie ride. The solid Dana axles and leaf springs are made for WORK!

The Cummins turbo diesel is nothing short of amazing! It has the power to haul and/or pull almost anything you want. My truck is a dually 4x4 automatic with 4.10 gears that still gets 15mpg on the highway, which is 2mpg more than my light duty 1995 F150 4x4 previously got! I am very pleased so far, and highly recommend a 1st generation Ram diesel to anyone who wants a serious hauler and doesn't mind a "solid" ride.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I would have to agree with you. I am the proud owner of a 1992 Dodge cummins W250 and wouldn't trade it for the world.

I have a 92 Dodge dually 350 5.9 liter Cummins. I'm 16, it's my third truck. All my other ones I sold to help my grandmaw out when we were struggling.

I love my truck, it needs body work like fenders and stuff, and my reverse went out. My friend said it was the reverse belt. I think it is too.

The only thing I don't like about it is it's 2 wheel drive, and I just don't have the money to fix it. I worked all last summer till school started to pay for it, so I don't have money to fix it now

:(

I've tried to contact people about helping me out. I've had friends help me money wise, so I'm doing alright, but still looking for help. It's my dream truck, I love Dodge.

I have a 1990 two wheel drive, everything is original except for the alternator, voltage regulator and master cylinder. Drove a work truck, a 92. It had a million km on the original bearings and rings. They are great trucks! I wouldn't trade mine for a new one.
