2010 Dodge Ram Pickup 5.7

Summary:

A lot of issues for a new truck

Faults:

Right out of the gate, my truck had a lot of electrical issues; running lights not working, gauges not working, and blown fuses left and right. This was fixed under warranty at no cost to me, but was very annoying for a brand new truck.

From time to time, the truck would just stop running, and this was found to be another electrical problem.

At 450 miles, the engine began to run very rough, and it was found to be a problem with the timing, once again covered by warranty at no cost to me, but very frustrating, as this was a new truck.

I had no problems until 8500 when the transmission gave up when I was hauling my horse trailer up hill. Covered by warranty again, but 8500 for a transmission is not OK.

I don’t drive this that much, and I don’t know what is next to break.

General Comments:

A lot of issues for a new truck, don't think I will buy another, but when it's working good, I like the truck.

2010 Dodge Ram Pickup Sport 5.7

Summary:

Sharp looking truck, lots of power, lots of fun

Faults:

Can't keep tires on it, but that might be because of a heavy right foot.

V8 is thirsty when you drive it like a truck. Around town it's not bad though.

Center console door broke. Easy fix.

General Comments:

A great truck over all. Thank goodness for fuel-saving mode, otherwise it would be pricey to keep gas in it. It's still thirsty, but I don't drive it easy.

Great handling, looks, and lots of power to back it all up with that Hemi. I paid more than the Fords and Chevy models with similar options, but it was worth every penny. Had an 05 F150 V8 that just can't compare. This truck is fun.
