1994 Eagle Talon ES 2.0 ltr.

Summary:

Very sporty and good looking

Faults:

I got the car with no motor, but in show room shape. I am the second owner of this car and knew the last owner very well. his son blow the timing belt, racing it one summer and missed second gear. The owner sold the car to me for $2000.00 and I found a motor for $150.00 bucks. Ran really good after that. The clutch is getting bad and I will replace when the snow is gone.

General Comments:

I have herd lots of not good stories about this car, when I was thinking about buying it. I have a 1970 road runner, with tons of horse power. So this little sexy car comes up a bit short on that topic. But will work on that in time.

1994 Eagle Talon awd 2.0 turbo

Summary:

Talons make you a very good auto mechanic

Faults:

At 100,000 miles my 7 bolt motor had gotten crank walk and I threw the rod in the motor. Actually the bearing on the rod broke in 3 different spots. It always had a bad oil leak. I then got a jspec 6 bolt motor put in with a bigger 16g turbo put in it. Then my crank pulley had went so I just recently got that put in. Then my slave cylinder and master cylinder went so I put them in. The my throw out bearing went and I tried to make it home, but it fried the clutch totally. that is about all.

General Comments:

This car is a fun and very quick car when running good. I have had plenty of good times in it. There easy to the eye and fun to drive. You can turn the boost up for a cheap price and get extreme power with the right injectors.

1994 Eagle Talon ESI 2.0 DOHC

Summary:

A high adrenalin rush

Faults:

The things that went, wrong with the car was. The water pump started to leak so I had to get it replace, when the car hit 115k. The timing belt had to be replace because of the many miles rack up on the belt when bought the car brand new.

General Comments:

My mother bought the car brand new, and I fell in love with the car. When it was time for her to sell the car I was very upset on letting the car go, so I have taken upon myself on purchasing the Eagle Talon (ESI) from my mother and use it as a weekend car. All I see is nothing but the eclipse and that made the eagle talon a very special car and soon to be a rare car to find. I would recommend anybody to quickly find a talon before it becomes a unique one of a kind car.

1994 Eagle Talon LS 1.8 non turbo

Summary:

Fun, quick, toy, but can be very expensive

Faults:

Battery went out at 120,000 miles.

Ball joint went out at 119,000 Miles.

Engine is starting to use a lot of oil.

Interior is starting to wear badly.

Clutch is starting to go.

Gearbox is starting to go.

General Comments:

This car handles like a dream. It hugs corners like no vehicle I have ever driven. Is it also very quick for a 1.8 5 speed, extremely fun to drive. However, this being a foreign car, and not made any more, parts are very expensive, and mildly difficult to work with. It is a fun toy to have around, but nothing I would rely on to get me around every day.

Its not an import, its American made and they took the ideas from the eclipse. but that's alright cause its still a great car with lots of parts that can be added to it.
