2013 Ford Expedition Max Limited 5.4 3v V8
Summary:
Reliable, durable, comfortable
Faults:
Front axle seal.
Heater hose.
Air suspension.
Power running boards.
General Comments:
Pretty reliable, obviously bad on gas, comfortable for long road trips, lots of room for people and cargo. I expected the rear air suspension and power running boards to prematurely break when I first bought the car. Rear air suspension was replaced with regular shocks and power running boards were removed and replaced with side steps. I'm still waiting for the engine to develop its signature problems, but I've been lucky so far.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Just an update. We still have the truck, right around 325,000kms now. It's been pretty solid for us so far and is still something we use daily and take on road trips.
The cam phasers did start acting up around 275,000 km's so those were replaced and locked so that they can't fail again. That was a few thousand to fix, but I was waiting for it to happen so it wasn't a big surprise. Other than that it's been a very good vehicle for us. Just very minor repairs here and there.
