1999 Ford F350 XLT CREW 2wd Diesel 7.3L Powerstroke

Summary:

Great truck, will buy another one

Faults:

Cold Weather Starting.

Paid $5500 for it and drove it 1300 miles home.

Has been very reliable, other than filter and oil changes it has needed nothing.

Gets around 19mpg if I keep my foot out of it.

General Comments:

I would buy another one, need the 4WD.

Crew Cab has tons of room.

1999 Ford F350 7.3L diesel

Summary:

This is a great towing vehicle with lots of power and easy on fuel

Faults:

Original automatic was replaced by the previous owner with a 2002 upgraded transmission from Ford.

Drivers side rear view mirror was broken while parked.

Front end went out of alignment at 91,000 miles.

General Comments:

This is a very comfortable 4 wheel drive truck almost rides like a car. The back seat is roomy even for my 6'6" brother in law. I have had no real problems with this truck it pulls a 4 horse trailer like it isn't even their. I purchased a Predator after market programmer and the power really came on. I feel my old 460 had more power, but had really bad mileage. This truck delivers between 15-18 m.p.g. in town and up to 20 m.p.g. while towing on the freeway; great!!

In the little country of Belgium this truck would cost me every year in roadtax +/- 2550 US$, then it would not even have travelled 1 inch!!!!!
