2003 Hummer H2 6.0

Faults:

I have had my Hummer H2 break 2 tie rods at 5 miles an hour. When this happens you have no control of the vehicle. I khow this problem has happened to many people. I do not want to see anyone get hurt or killed before this problem is corrected. I am in the process of putting a list of people who have broken their tie rods. If you know of anyone who has had this happen, have them E-Mail me at wheelie74@sbcglobal.net

I was always kinda against the H2 too. I don't know really why, maybe I thought it was just excess. My brother bought one (my first experience with one) and I always gave him a hard time. Now he laughs at me because I purchased it from him and I must say it is the first vehicle I have been excited about in a long time. It is a great vehicle to take camping with the kids, and is very comfortable on long trips. These vehicles and other large 4wd SUV's are not doing the damage to the forest, it is the smaller vehicles which can stray off the beaten path (quads/motorcycles etc.) I see tearing everything up.

2003 Hummer H2 4x4 6.0

Summary:

Not worth it

Faults:

This is the worst SUV I've ever bought. The quality of this is horrible. The seatbelt harness came apart, the horn stopped working, the alignment was always off, some billet pieces started falling off. The list goes on and on.

General Comments:

Not worth it.

This can't be the case. You either bought the Hummer used or you really got fooled by a shady dealer.

That comment doesn't make any sense. How horribly "used" can a 2003 really be, for one thing? And how does a shady dealer relate to the poor build quality of a car?

Hummer came in dead last in the J.D. Powers survey. Just because something is very expensive and all the rage in Hollywood, doesn't mean it's a good product.
