2001 Hyundai XG350

Summary:

It belongs in the Book of Lemons!

Faults:

I am an only driver, female, with this vehicle, in my 50's, and a 'gentle' driver. I purchased the car, new.

At 50,000 kilometers, the car required 4 new tires.

At 60,000, rear strut mounts - both sides.

Now, at 67,000 kms., I am told that the car requires new rear ball beaings.

Just told as well that there is a leak in the power steering.

Interiorly, some leather on the door arm rest has torn.

General Comments:

I purchased this vehicle because of the comfort and 'the looks'. I guess "Looks are deceiving". I called Customer Service today and was made to feel that I was truly 'disturbing' the person on the other end of the line. I will NEVER purchase another Hyundai. Imagine... roughly 50,000 miles and impeccably maintained at the dealership both mechanically and otherwise.

I am now a 'former' Hyundai product purchaser. Our other vehicle is a Santa Fe.! Hyundai has just lost TWO customers because of their product and their attitude.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No
