1993 Isuzu Amigo

Expensive, but FUN!

General Comments:

This car was expensive to keep running.

The convertible top roof leaked during heavy rainfalls, and two years after buying the vehicle, the convertible top somehow shrunk and wouldn't fit over the back.

Car would flood; had to have carpet taken out because of flooding.

But the car was fun for recreational use.

It wasn't really made for the winter, it was a summer car for sure.

Probably one of the best cars I'll ever own, despite the mechanical problems.

1993 Isuzu Amigo xs 2.6

I absolutely LOVE this truck

The brakes went at 120,000 resulting in $800 out of my pocket.

Leaf Springs broke after wear and tear from playing in the woods.

U-joint on passenger side broke.

Catalytic converter became rusty and pretty much fell off.

Alternator is going.

General Comments:

The seats are very comfortable.

It handles like a champ.

Great in the woods.

Lots of power for a 4 cylinder.

Cute, fun car to show with the top off.

Very reliable.

1993 Isuzu Amigo 2.6L

Very reliable and versatile vehicle, a must have!

Rear main seal blown out at the current mileage.

Steering loose due to steering box wear or wear on the tie rods and bushings.

Top shrinking making it impossible to snap onto the back.

Right front running light (turn signal) filled with moisture and dirt from taking off-road.

Idles rough when cold.

General Comments:

Top not maintained by previous owner.

Engine too small for the truck size.

Seating is very roomy and comfortable.

Controls are standard but, very easy to reach while engaged in heavy traffic.

Very truck like ride and fun to drive.

If you like unusual vehicles this is on the line of ordinary and unusual.
