Faults:
When I bought the Truck off of this old man it seemed alright. When I got into my shop, I discovered it still had the original rear brakes on it. Of course they were toasted after 98000 miles. I replaced the rear Shoes, Hardware, Wheel Cylinders, Axle Seals, and axle bearings because they have to be pressed on anyways, so I figured I might as well.
I'm currently replacing all 8 of the front control arm bushings, lots of fun:). I'm anxiously waiting the day when I can go faster than 60 with out my front end vibrating out from under me.
I'm thinking I might have to replace the oil pump soon because it takes several seconds longer than most other cars to develop full oil pressure.
I'm also replacing the valve cover gasket because it's leaking oil all over the left side of the engine and leaving puddles the size of a half dollar every where I stop. ah.
Oh yea. I almost forgot. I had to order new Leaf Spring Shackles from the Jeep dealership, mine were rusted though to the point where I could stick three fingers though the center of them. Scary feeling if they broke on the road. The entire rear axle would fall out.
General Comments:
I installed a custom gauges in the blank spot between the instrument cluster and the radio. A water tempurature and oil pressure gauge.
I also installed my own radio because the original Jeep's light's went out in it. I got a Pioneer 5500. It's sweet, it plays mp3's and wma's, as well as radio.
I'm still getting used to the bench seat and leaning the trick to getting in it. I got used to my 93' Ford Escort. It sits much lower to the ground than my Jeep does.

Some models came with all the standard gauges, my Comanche only came with a speedometer and gas gauge, and lights for the other things. After my brother ruined the speedometer and got a speeding ticket, he checked eBay, and found one with all the gauges, all we had to do was switch a few things, and everything worked, it might have been off a Cherokee, but it was brand new, because the mileage was set at zero.
