2013 Kia Optima 4 cylinder

Summary:

Best car for the value, bar none

Faults:

Nothing; the car is great.

If I have a complaint; the tires are not the best and the road noise is a tad loud.

The other complaint is the AM sound is tinny, but I listen to FM or CDs, which are both fine.

Passenger seat is low and cannot be raised.

General Comments:

The car has great jump for 4 cylinder.

The interior is spacious and comfortable.

Outside mirrors on the top of the line models can be folded.

GPS, screen and Bluetooth all work well, and are all harmonized on a touch screen.

Also the dashboard controls make it even more safe.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Road noise can definitely be caused by poor quality tires.

That's completely true! And it has been tested... Don't know why buying a low trim model will always get you noisy tires...

Did it ever occur to you that the manufacturer won't want to spend a lot of money for nice tires on a low-margin economy car?

It doesn't have to be a nice tyre - just a quieter one. Many tyres are priced within a very close range of each other. In Europe, many cars are fitted with Goodyear EfficientGrip tyres which are rated very highly overall, including quietness, and they can be fitted on cars as common as a Skoda Octavia.

I'd be quite surprised at that. Every car I have bought new from a Ford Fiesta to a BMW 5 series had premium tyres from brand new. I'd be shocked if they tried to low ball you cheap tyres at a new purchase.

Tell you what I do hate though about modern cars - they do not give us a full size spare anymore. Now that is cheap and seen across all brands. Cannot stand the space saver or inflation kit - give me a full size spare any-day. Those who have ever been stuck at the side of the road with a flat on a rainy day will know what I mean.
