2017 Kia Optima Hybrid

Summary:

Happy with the car

Faults:

The car is reliable. Accelerator if pressed down quickly noticeably lags before the car accelerates.

Steering is peculiar. The electronic steering occasionally feels "sticky"; noticeable while cruising at 50 mph and having to make subtle steering corrections.

Both items I have not had in for service.

General Comments:

Excellent MPG. I average 42 MPG.

Wish the car had a wireless Qi charger. Bluetooth works well.

Under the hood is intimidating; it doesn't appear a backyard mechanic can service it. Hopefully aftermarket hybrid batteries will be more readily available.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

These hybrids are very troubled past the 100,000 miles mark. Plenty of serious battery and hybrid system issues on forums.
