2005 Kia Sedona LX 3.5

Summary:

Excellent

Faults:

The car is great, but we wanted a mini-van.

General Comments:

We love the comfort, value, and most everything about the 2005 Sedona. We only had the van for one week, but so far we're happy.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

The honeymoon's not over yet just wait a little bit, say a year or so, before you place a review. Like the rest of us, you fell for the trap, "cheap price and a warranty". You're probably real happy with yourself thinking you made the deal a lifetime.

Get back to us next year, then tell us if your still in love or thinking of a divorce.

I had my Sedona for 2 years and no problems at all. Guess am lucky.

I had a few minor problems with my 2002 Sedona during the first two years, but the second two years of ownership were a different experience.

For the most part, the dealership were I purchased the van resolved many of the warranty issues amicably usually on the first visit. There were a couple of times were it took a week or so for the parts to arrive. On one occasion, I was forced to rent a vehicle because of this.

I soon found out that maintenance and parts costs were extraordinary. Unfortunatly, I neglected to investigate what these costs were prior to signing the deal. I won't do that again.

I just recently traded my Sedona on a North American offering mainly due to the Sedona's repair costs and my a sense that should something major fail, the cost would be horrendous. Parts for North American vans are immediately available, cost much less and there are many more dealerships and garages that can repair them.

With this said, I will not consider buying another Kia product. Both Kia and their dealers need to evaluate the reliability of the product as well as parts and maintenance costs.
