2009 Kia Sorento 3.3

Summary:

A big lemon

Would only engage into four wheel drive about 60% of the time. Kia would not repair. Had to get rid of vehicle - lost $5000.00.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

My experience with Kia vehicles - I had something seriously faulty with my new Kia, the dealership was unable to fix and Kia was not interested in doing anything. I was forced to trade vehicle off at a great loss (the car was only 5 months old).

My advice to prospective Kia buyers - beware. If you have a problem that a dealer can't repair, in my experience Kia will not honor their warranty, nor will they stand behind their product.

Had problems with a 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid CVT transmission... those early Honda hybrids had a percentage of Civics that had a known problems with the CVT transmissions... the company would not fix the problem with them... traded it in at a 8000.00 lost (dealers just added the loss to the new car I bought)... then Honda finally recalled the problem CVT transmission years later.... but too late for me... luckily we have the carsurvey forum to express the good and bad of cars we have owned/leased/rented or borrowed, and the manufacturers that build them....
