2012 Lexus ES 350 3.5L

Summary:

Reliable

Faults:

Suspension is wearing out. Still drives very smooth.

Sluggish throttle response, although I've read it's normal with this car.

Traction control is poor in moderate-depth snow.

Also, you can only turn off the traction control for 1 minute, before it automatically goes back on :( but it's FWD so who cares.

The gas pedal seems light, so while this is a 3500 lb car, it also drives light. It might be why so many seniors like to drive this car.

At 260,000 km and this being almost a 10 year old car, I feel the transmission is getting a little strange, but once it's warmed up, it shifts better, takes a while to warm up though, even in the summer.

General Comments:

The engine is very smooth and whisper quiet.

No leaks anywhere. Thank you, Lexus.

Everything still works in the car, and I mean everything.

A full sized spare all-season tire is available in the trunk.

Does not drive like a BMW, but will provide you with the same level of comfort without breaking the bank.

Takes regular fuel! Starting in 2012, the ES350 does not require premium. For a V6 engine producing 270 hp, that's incredible.

Most cars on the road would not drive this well at 260,000 km. My Chevy Impala with 200,000 km less had 10x more problems.

Overall, this car delivers on giving you the best bang for your buck.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
