1990 Lincoln Town Car Cartier 5.0L

Summary:

Lincoln knows Luxury!

Faults:

It needed a new transmission at 75,000 miles.

My father blew the engine at just about 75,000 miles as well.

Power windows work selectively.

Seat Memory only works when the car is turned off.

The radio needed to be replaced.

General Comments:

I love my Town Car. It's a 1990 Cartier that's loaded. The most impressive features are the moon roof and the superb factory JBL sound system that still can put modern systems to shame.

The ride is impeccable, as the air suspension creates the illusion that the car is hovering over the ground as you drive.

This car impresses the ladies and boasts lots of room, I fit 9 people in it once; 4 in the front and 5 in the back with all the comfort in the world. There is no better luxury car in the world, and I will always proudly enjoy my Gold Lincoln and all of its bells and whistles.

Engine low powered, transmission is short life, power steering leaks oil from seals and return hose, parts are very expensive,

Comfort factor is great.

Overall value for your money considering the price of the car, poor.

My engine lasted until 300 000kms, and I neglected it it. I could have fixed it too. It kept all its power through out my ownership. 280pounds of torque. you drive torque. not hp.

I bought this as my first car. It was a little old. When I fisrt bought it it ran great and rode smooth. I have owned it for 8 months now. After a month of owning my Lincoln, it:

*began to ride a little more rough.

*The shocks went out.

*My windshield wiper fluid won't spray.

*The motors in all my windows quit working.

*My lighter won't light.*

*I have one terrible oil leak.

*I get terrible gas mileage.

*I have had to replace the ignition switch.

*My car gets over heated really easy.
