1962 Mercedes-Benz 220 SE bc Coupe 2.2 litre petrol

Faults:

Electric fuel pump.

Radiator replacement.

General Comments:

Great car that is extremely reliable for its age. Highly recommended if you want to stand out in a crowd! You can't beat the looks of 1960's 2 door Mercedes Benzes.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I agree, those cars are beauties. I can't say the same for the current crop of Toyota look-alikes manufactured by Daimler-Chrysler. I think that the last beautiful Mercedes was the 1979 W126. It's been downhill ever since

You need to remember that Lexus (Toyota) copied the Mercedes-Benz style.

Also the new generation Mercs look great, the new S class and C class are superb looking cars, a lot better than anything built in the US, also BMW have some great looking motors. Let's be honest, the Germans know how to build a proper car, performance, handling, quality, and they don't break down if they are maintained by the dealer! Go on, buy one, you know it makes sense!

My Mercedes 1962 220 SE Coupe with Sliding Roof Top is beautiful and drives beautifully. It is one of the last Motor cars built. It is also rather inexpensive to keep up. My German mechanic is committed to keep my car driving as if it were newly built.

I have a beautiful 1962 SEC Mercedes in my garage. I only wish I had a good mechanic who can do some minor transmission adjustments to this car, so I could drive it more often. It is sure a looker. Maybe I will convert it to an convertible, which will add more value to the car. Can anyone give me some help... Thanks, Hans.
