"The best S Class sedan ever". A rather hasty prediction, after only 1,250 miles!! I think it more likely that Mercedes made its last good S Class sedan more than 10 years ago.

Nope, the new S-Class is really that impressive.

As far as being the best S-Class, I don't know. "Best" can be subjective. I can see how many could say that the W140 chassis was the best Mercedes would ever offer, back then the engineers were given a blank check. Made for a great car, but a very expensive one too.

I really enjoy and have a lot of respect for Mercedes Benz Manufacturers. I just don' understand how a car with such style and class can have so many problems concerning the suspension systems. The S Class is one of the best sophisticated cars that one can own.

I see the Mercedes S430 as a extraodinary car, but, it's just a car subject to break downs. Nothings perfect, if a car is really a great car and is truly backed by it's manufacture. You want have to worry about being bad mouthed.

This is, to me, the most impressive car on the road. My boyfriend had a 2002 Mercedes S Class and it was the best car that I have ever ridden in. It was very roomy with a ton of options on it and is probably my favorite Mercedes on the road today. I would highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a car.
