2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart 2.4 MIVEC

Summary:

Will satisfy your performance needs

Faults:

There is rattle present while idling with the air conditioning running. Noise disappears when clutch is depressed. I have an appointment to check that out.

There is a slight tinny sound present at a certain RPM range (same sound as when the heat shield came loose on my older car).

General Comments:

Car is a lot of fun around the corners.

Acceleration is excellent, especially at higher RPM.

Ride can be too choppy at times if you're not into the stiff suspension.

Gearbox feels better than any I have ever experienced!

Sexy looking car.

Sheet metal seems thin (feels like this car may be susceptible to rust as it ages).

Seats are comfortable and stylish.

Assembly quality and plastic pieces are of average quality. There is a gap at the top of the CD deck that is large enough to peek into.

The white background on the gauges looks grey when driving at night in a well light area and does not provide enough contrast to the orange lights in those conditions.

The 140 Watt sound system on my car is adequate, but I recommend the 300 Watt system if you are really into sound (you have to order it as part of a "sun and sound" package which includes a sunroof as well).

I got the "sun and sound" option on my ralliart and I love it. I also love the way my car drives. I hope there will be more after market parts for it very soon!

Heat shield, eh? What is that, the Starship Enterprise?

2004 Mitsubishi Lancer RalliArt 2.4L 16v MIVEC

Summary:

A quick little car, handles like a dream

Faults:

Nothing at all has gone wrong.

General build quality is top notch.

General Comments:

I love this car, I drove an RSX and loved it and I knew I had to get this cheaper version of an RSX. I find it accelerates, handles and brakes almost identically to the RSX. The car is very quick.

2 things have happened that are no fault of the car's.

1. Tiny chip in the windshield after 2 days of owning it. I will get it filled and it will be fine, of course I never got a chip in my old car's windshield (1982 Citation)

2. Some jack-ass decided to remove one of the diamond symbols from the back trunk. He/she left the symbol on the sidewalk so they did it to make me mad...

I am very happy with this car, it is just perfect to have fun around town.

2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart 2.4L Mivec SOHC 16v Inline 4

Summary:

More power than most of the cars in it's class.. definitely a great deal

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong with the car so far. We will see what happens in the future. I have high hopes for this car.

General Comments:

The car hauls since it has 162 hp. It gets up to speed very quickly.

The seats are very comfortable. The cabin space if very roomy.

Definitely enough space for larger people than myself. I'm 5'2".

It handles corners like they are nothing.

The factory sound system doesn't sound too bad for factory.

The body styling is more appealing for this model. It looks sporty for a Lancer.

Very excellent car over all. I would recommend this car to anyone.

I've been looking at these cars, quite nice, i like how mitsubishi is starting to beef up thier cars..much more durable and wont cost as much as they use to...on the plus side...A LITTLE ROOM FOR MORE = EVOLUTION 8!...I really hope they come to Canada soon!!

All I have to say about this car, is that it's an amazing machine! I bought one when they first came out. I put about 15000 miles on it. Nothing ever went wrong, perfect car, 162 horse power and 162 torque, for that price? I would do anything to get my car back. I was T-boned at 90mph. Yall keep your cars safe!!!

I have a question for everyone out there reading, if anyone knows where the is one for sale for a good price used, let me know please! I can't afford another new one, so please help me find a used one. I have found one for 9,000$ with 18,000 miles on it, white and manual... what do you think?
