2015 Nissan Altima 2.5

Summary:

Top quality and top comfort

Faults:

Nothing wrong with it.

General Comments:

One of the nicest car I have driven in my life. It is just beautiful. I love how Nissan makes cars. I would definitely buy another Nissan, however, Nissan has transmission problems with their vehicles. The whining sound was the biggest problem I had with my Nissan Sentra. However, I did not get that problem with the Altima.

Overall, the Nissan Altima was a great car and I would recommend it to anybody.

2015 Nissan Altima S 2.5 gasoline

Summary:

Maybe the best car in its class and year

Faults:

One recall for an airbag and one for an update to the CVT transmission programming.

General Comments:

Compared to a Toyota Corolla, it is miles above. The ride is smooth, sort of quiet. Ergonomics inside the car are good. Good enough quality materials inside and out.

Outstanding gas mileage! I bought the car in Moore, Oklahoma and drove it 2000 miles to come home. Running most of the trip at about 75-80 mph the car achieved 39.7 MPG!! I crossed the Rocky Mountains, the Wasatch Mountains and the Blue Mountains on my way home, for the record. Since that time we have used the car for a trip to Denver and back (about 1600 miles) and around town. We also took a couple trips to the Pacific Coast. Other than that, just driving around town.

I would like to make special note that my Versa (2010) get crummy mileage (average of about 22 and maximum of about 28 on the highway) while the Altima AVERAGES 28 MPG in town! It still gets almost 40 MPG on trips and rides as good as new.

2015 is a great year Altima to buy and the 2.5 gets you down the road and over the mountains with ease and in comfort.

The 2015 Altima gets about 30 MPG combined in average. A bit surprising your numbers.

I rented 2 different Altimas of this model year, for several months, with the 2.5 engine, and I averaged 44 MPG on the highway, averaging 100 miles each way. In the city, I averaged 34 MPG.

Actually, the reviewer's MPG figures are about the same as the results by the US Dept. of Energy tests, in contrast to other MPG claims.

The Altima actually competes with the Accord and Camry, not the Corolla or Sentra.
