1995 Nissan Hardbody Pickup V6

Summary:

A good truck, but poor service

Faults:

I do not use this truck off road.

A leaf in both rear springs broke.

A cab mount broke on passenger rear side.

Emergency brake mechanism on rear wheels seized.

I also had rust on all four chrome rims and both bumpers.

The sending unit for the gas tank failed.

General Comments:

I feel my truck is a good truck and is in very good condition.

I have to keep after the chrome rims to prevent the rust from getting worse.

Rear bumper was replaced under warranty.

I fought with dealer over front bumper until warranty period was over and then tried Customer Satisfaction Line. By then it was too late. After buying a 1994 Nissan Pathfinder and a 1995.5 Hard Body, two of my in-laws also bought a Pathfinder and a Hard Body. I recently gave up on Nissan and purchased a replacement bumper for front of my truck.

Rear brakes and cab mount failed while under warranty, but dealer service could not find either problem and I had to repair them myself after warranty.

1995 Nissan Hardbody Pickup EX EXTENDED CAB 2.4L

Summary:

It is a great truck just hard to find performance parts for it

Faults:

The only thing that I have had to do to my Nissan hardbody is basic stuff (oil change, tune up).

General Comments:

I really love this truck I have a 1990 Nissan hard body with a 2.4l 5 speed, my first truck. then I got a 1992 Nissan hard body 2.4l auto, and I have my 1995 Nissan hard body I have never had any major problems with any of my trucks and now my 1990 has 400,000 miles on it, still kicking.

1995 Nissan Hardbody Pickup XE 2.4L

Summary:

Good transportation

Faults:

I have made several modifications but nothing has gone wrong with the vehicle yet.

General Comments:

These trucks are unbelievably tough. I have mine on a 3" lift with 30" tires and you can hardly tell the difference in power. You can when hauling a load though. This is why I am changing the ring & pinion to a lower gear.

I would recommend this truck to anyone who needs a reliable means of transportation or a fun truck to play with.

1995 Nissan Hardbody Pickup 4 cylinder

Summary:

Cheap, rugged, and dependable transportation

Faults:

"Check Engine" light comes on occasionally, but it runs fine. I think this may be the oxygen sensor screaming for replacement.

General Comments:

This truck is bulletproof! I plan on driving it 200K plus.

I have a 1995 Nissan pickup REG cab. I love it. I got rid of a 1988 Acura and got the Nissan. Acura can taking a flying leap! 1 major part for the Acura would make a truck payment.

I own a 1995 Nissan King Cab with 145K--55K of which are my own. As was mentioned above the 'check engine' light has come on once and the throwout bearing is making a little noise on cold mornings; other than that it continues to run and perform really well. Recently I replaced some worn out shocks with the Bilstein 5100 series--WOW, even if you just replaced your shocks replace them again with these--they're incredible on and off the road.
