1994 Nissan Sentra Limited Edition 1.6L

Summary:

The best car your money can buy for an all around great car

Faults:

I am the 3rd owner of this car, and I have not done anything other to it than a front right wheel bearing, which cost about $90.00.

General Comments:

I love this car, I drive it every day. It is the best car for the money that I paid for it.

I paid $400.00 for the car and it is well worth it. I was offered $600.00 for it yesterday, but I would not take it.

This car runs great. The check engine light is not on, and the car has 176,000 miles on it.

Only one rust spot on it, and I had to clean it up a lot (it had a lot of ground in dirt in the carpet), but the car cleaned up nicely.

If you can find one of these cars, buy it, it is a very cheap car to operate. Keeping the oil changed is what this car needs every 3000 miles to keep it well maintained. That is the main thing you need to do.

Bottom line, a great car.

1994 Nissan Sentra ES 1.6 liter 4 cylinder

Summary:

As cheap as you can get (in a good way)

Faults:

Replaced most of the exhaust system in 2003, after 9 years of Canadian winters.

Replaced the windshield in 2004 because of a large crack.

Replaced the front brakes in 2002 shortly after acquiring the car.

Had to replaced the front brakes in 2004 again, because I used really cheap parts the first time.

Had the replace the brake line to the rear brakes in 2005, because they rusted badly.

General Comments:

That car was a very reliable car for me. I sold it to a friend in 2006, and it's still running strong with more than 300000 km on it. The only thing he's had to change was the battery and the alternator last year.

It is incredibly dull to drive and really not powerful, but it gets great mileage and is quite comfortable for a little econobox. There is good room in front, although I would not want to travel in the back for very long.

The only problem with the car now is that it getting too rusted, but after 14 years of Canadian winters, it's really not that bad considering that it was never rust-treated.

1994 Nissan Sentra XE

Summary:

Good little car

Faults:

Rubber gaskets corroded allowing gas and oil to mix (after it had been sitting in Maine for a couple years) cost about $600 to fix.

The volume knob on the radio came off, but I replaced the original with an after-market CD player.

Sun visor where deteriorating so I got another pair to replace them cost about $30.

Paint has oxidized and top coat is flaking off (haven’t gotten a new paint job yet, but will sometime within the next year or so, not real a big issue for)

Smells of smoke because I got the car from a 94 year old chain smoker.

The seats are a little ratty (will probably replace them all)

General Comments:

This is my first car that I’ve actual own and other than one semi-major issue and some minor appearance flaws the car run amazingly well. And through it may not be the fastest car it also not the slowed. And to be honest I’ve actual grown quite fond of it.

1994 Nissan Sentra Limited Edition 1.6

Summary:

Nice

Faults:

Both driver and passenger windows did not work due to the fact that my sister never bother fixing it which cost me $70 each side to repair from junkyard.

Downpipe collapsed causing the whole exhaust assembly to be dragged in the highway! the car became unbearably, ridicously, loud!

Other than those mishaps, the car runs great. interior still in good shape for a 15 year old car-no rips or excessive wear.

General Comments:

This car has been in my family for about 7 years. It used to be my father's then gave it to my sister and she had it for about 5-6 years.

I wish I had the manual transmission for this car. the engine feels robbed from the automatic transmission of this car. handles, fairly easily because of its light weight.
