Great gas mileage and family car
I flew to the West Coast, and the rental company had a Nissan Sentra waiting for me. I am 5'11" and weight 195#, so I had concerns with such a small looking car. I was also going to do 600 miles on mountainous driving so I had concerns with the small engine. Anyway, it was all they had.
What a surprise this vehicle was. I was very roomy inside, and comfortable for the rear passengers to. Lots of head room, and, the trunk was quite adequate.
The engine was quiet and smooth, and the CVT tranny made a peppy combo. Gas mileage was excellent and averaged 34 mpg mixed driving, which included a lot of mountainous driving. On a flat hwy it would be a real gas sipper I'm sure.
The seats were OK (I don't like side bolsters which create narrow seat backs). Rear tire noise could be less, but this car was the bare bones model so it was expected. There is very little wind noise, and the ride is surprisingly smooth for such as small wheel base. There were no squeaks or rattles, even though this car had 51,000 miles of rental use.
Biggest complaint is the rear vision when backing up and the side view when changing lanes. The car window line raises towards the rear, and is obstructive.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
