2000 Plymouth Grand Voyager

Summary:

Unreliable

Faults:

I have had the serpentine belt put back on or replaced 15 times. The first three times were in the first year and under warranty. The last two times it came off in the rain. (A foot of water on the road is common when it rains and can't be avoided. I wouldn't call driving through it abuse.) Before that, it always came off when the roads were dry. I have had the tensioner replaced two times and the pulleys replaced with ones with "lips". I wrote to Chrysler. They said they were sorry. Now the belt is on, but squeaking loudly. I'm going Toyota shopping this weekend.

Summary:

This is the perfect vehycle for any family with children

Faults:

The plastic molding around driver's seat broke at 50,000 miles.

I put new brake pads at 40,000 miles.

General Comments:

This is the perfect vehycle for any family with children.

The 3.3 V6 has more than enough power for highway or in town driving.

The Grand Voyager is reliable.

The cabin is comfortable and attractive.

2000 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE 3.3

Summary:

It is a lemon and do not buy this car

Faults:

Two struts went out at 10,000 miles, covered by warranty. Seat belts needed replacing due to defects, twice. Brakes replaced at 40,000 miles. Seal to transmission replaced at 50,000 miles, due to cracked seal. It is still leaking transmission fluid. Brake booster needs replacing. Transmission needs replacing. Strut needs replacing, again.

General Comments:

This van is very comfortable and quiet on long trips, and is very roomy. The car handles very well on mountainous roads. You definitely get more for your money, but in the long run, it is a lemon.
