2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT V6 Ram Air

Summary:

This is a perfect all in one car

Faults:

This is an awesome car for anyone.

The only real problems that have gone wrong with this car is that the lock freezes in the winter, passenger seat squeaks and that the service engine light keeps popping up after its been serviced. But that's more or less it.

I knew the owner of this car before I bought it and she had never had any problems with brakes or any thing.

General Comments:

I would recommend this car just because it's good on gas and looks awesome and has great power.

This car has nice big comfortable seats and a good size trunk.

This car is a great for a first time car.

I would just get the key-less entry if you live where it gets really cold.

2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT

Summary:

Unreliable

Faults:

Hazard Lights kept clicking even though they were not on.

Power Steering control fell inside the door.

Had to have a power steering repaired since all of the fluid had leaked out.

Had to have the transmission fluid line repaired due to leaking.

The coolant needed to be replaced because of leakage.

My low coolant light is on again so I'm assuming it's the same problem again.

A major part of the gas tank had to be replaced since there was no gas getting to the engine.

General Comments:

I was so excited when I bought this car.

I am extremely disappointed with all of the repairs.

Fortunately I had bought the extended warranty which more than paid for itself with all of these.

Too bad it has run out and I have a year left to pay on the car.

I will never buy a Pontiac again.

I feel your pain. I own the 2000 Grand Am GT, and have nothing, but problems from around 24,000 miles. We have went through an intake manifold, fuel rail, fuel injectors (3), 3 power windows. The current problem is overheating. I went ahead and had the radiator fluid reservoir replace after having oil in it from the intake leak. This only made the problem worse. This will be my last Pontiac will a 3.4 L engine...

2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT 3.4

Summary:

Best sport compact period

Faults:

The Brakes, but not as bad as I thought they would be. mostly just noise. I've had them checked and they were OK, just noisy.

General Comments:

To start with, it is the most beautiful car I've ever owned, hats off to the designers at G.M.

The performance is the best I've experience in a mid size sport, or sport compact, car and I have put it up against many imports including the famous lancer, the W.R.X., and the eclipse spider.

I have plans on adding some after market performance parts, but I think it's just fine as it is.

I have one more thing to add, the handling, it's perfict...

2000 Pontiac Grand Am SE

Summary:

I love it, but it's gots its faults

Faults:

Hi, I have had my car now for at least 3 months, and I have had a couple problems. I love the look of my car, it's my baby.

The first problem I've had was like 3 weeks after I bought it. Well my radio/CD player and clock didn't work, and I went to the dealer right away, and they told me that my car had an internal electric problem, and sent me home; I was OK, that's it?? So I got angry because I kept calling and going over there, and my car is under warranty, so they had to fix it, and I hadn't even owned the car for a month yet.

Well they told me it was going to cost me 100 deductible, but I wasn't about to pay that, so then my battery went out like 2 days later, and my car was towed to the dealer, and they didn't want to fix it, so I went the the guy who I bought it off, and the manager, so they fixed it for free!!

Well now my oil light goes on, and I went to see if it needed to be changed. They changed it, and then it went on again after a month. I haven't had any more problems yet, but I hope not, but I will give it up if it does any more, because I only had it for like 3 months.

But I like the look, it's nice, it drives smooth, and it's pretty quick. The interior isn't the best, but yeah I still love it. I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, especially impatient people.
