2005 Saturn VUE AWD V6 3.5L

Summary:

I haven't had it for long, but WOW

Faults:

I realize I have had the vehicle for only a short time and there are few miles on the car, but for us in the New England States, I had to leave this review for anyone thinking of purchasing a VUE. With the recent inclement weather in NE, I have had plenty of opportunity to see how this SUV would handle in snow and ice. I have to say, the handling is unparalleled from any vehicle I have ever driven. I grew up in Maine and am familiar with bad roads and feel knowing your vehicle is half the battle of successful driving in poor conditions. I took my new VUE out in the bad weather with the purpose of seeing what it could do. It laughed at snow and slush covered 's'-turns, stopped abruptly when tested, and gripped the snow with enough strength to safely take me down a steep incline on a turn. I came home from our little excursion feeling like my purchase was a wise one.

General Comments:

Although the safety in driving was a huge priority to me, I am also a stay-home Mom and have two, little kids. The only other thing I can comment on this early into my ownership, is the space the VUE provides for my kids in the back - for them and all their stuff. It is great to have all that room for them, and I'm no longer breaking my back getting them into their car seats! That is truly a great value! Also, I have a bum hip and the numerous seat adjustments are very helpful on the comfort scale.

2005 Saturn VUE AWD V6 3.5L

Summary:

Fast, Fun, good price for all the options you get

Faults:

No problems noted at this time.

General Comments:

So far my VUE is a great a SUV for the money, traded away a Z3 BMW so I could get a cheap vehicle for my dogs.

I noticed "different" type noise in the engine, was told it was fuel injectors clicking... When comparing engine noise to my last car (BMW) the engine is louder... guess that is to be expected.

I an really impressed with the power the 3.5L has.

The VUE gets decint gas mileage, over the holidays I have driven it 3k.

The AWD system I herd was just a glorified FWD with rear assist... In any case I was having fun driving through snow banks with snow almost up to the headlights in Buffalo NY. I honestly tried to get it stuck and didn't.

One annoying thing in the 100mph speed limiter, I realize it is a safety feature due to high center of gravity, with out it I think the VUE could reach impressive speeds.

Lots of accessories for the VUE.. I got almost every accessory added over the last month, easy to make you VUE unlike everyone else's.
