2016 Subaru Impreza WRX 2.0 DIT

Summary:

Rowdy fun, a bit unrefined, but so capable

Faults:

Rear defroster conductors were broken (probably when I got the car).

General Comments:

High effort but very positive shifter. Clutch effort a bit more than usual for a 2L, engages high up.

A bit more body roll than expected. Has a tendency to push, responds well to anti-roll bar upgrades. Insanely controllable and precise in the snow and on gravel.

Stock speakers are poor. Competitor's seats may have more lateral support, but not as back friendly.

28 MPG in mixed driving.

Less brake fade than ANY Honda I have owned. ABS well sorted out. Dynamics are such that stability control is not really necessary.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
