2001 Toyota Corolla Type S unleaded gas

Summary:

A fun, peppy car with a sleek look

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong yet.

General Comments:

This is a 2002 Toyota Corolla Type S.

This car is great!

The acceleration on this car is crazy. I haven't broken it in yet and I beat my friend's 2002 Toyota Celica GT off the line.

The new 2002 headlights look awesome on this car especially with Super White bulbs.

Turning is excellent. There's this one curve that I could only take at 40 mph in a 1996 Ford Mustang, but with the Corolla I could actually take it up to 75 mph!

I took it back to the dealership twice (once to take out the too-sensitive alarm, and second to see why the brakes had very slight squeaky sound), and both times they topped off my gas. It turns out that the sound in my brakes is normal while I'm breaking it in, it even says so in the car's manual (my mistake).

It's a little hard to fall asleep in the drivers seat, but I guess that's good for those long boring drives to, say San Diego.

2001 Toyota Corolla CE 1.8 litre 4 cylinder

Summary:

A great masterpiece

Faults:

The only problem with my car was when I purchased my car it had a defective wheel, but the dealer got it replaced for no cost and also gave me a loaner car till the job was done.

General Comments:

My Corolla is a great car, I have 2 Toyota Corolla+'s, a 2000 and a 2001, I just love my car, my 2000 has now gone to my dad but the 2001 is with me and I just love everything about it, the cost, the reliability, the looks, the comfort and the power from the baby.

The driver's door handle had a scratch.

The driver's door was off alignment.

The wheel alignment is off.

The driver's side visor is broken.

There is a scratch on the dash.

The dome light switch is deformed.

The molding in the trunk sticks up.

The temperature gauge does not read correctly.

The 3rd brake light was loose.

The tires were all under inflated.

The battery was not charged.

The center seat belt buckle was scratched.

General Comments:

I work in the auto industry and I am insulted to have seen a brand new vehicle in this kind of condition and neither the dealer nor Toyota has yet made good on the vehicle.

I fight with the steering wheel to keep my car straight. I will never buy another Toyota again!

What does this have to do with Toyota?

My Corolla was 2 years old when I got it with 25000 miles on it and it did not have all those scratches, etc. I am pretty sure that it wasn't the factory that scratched up your new car!

Interesting is to notice that I experience the same difficulties with the steering on my 2001 Corolla LE. This steering problem is horrible, if not dangerous. Dealers pretend the tires are culprit, but this does not seem to be right.
